São Paulo is a city like no other in Brazil. It's the world's fourth largest city, the largest metropolis in Latin America and Brazil's cultural and economic capital. In Brazil, things happen first in São Paulo a city that houses 6% of the Brazilian population, represents around 9% of the national GNP and commands the country's third largest budget.
Situated 860 meters high and one hour away from gorgeous beaches of São Paulo State, its population and visitors can be considered spoiled. You can choose from a whole array of entertainment in the city or spend a day or a weekend by the ocean. If you rather visit Rio de Janeiro, you take a 45-minute flight from Congonhas Airport situated 10 minutes from the school.
Reinforcing how spoiled you can become living or visiting São Paulo, you are only 2 hours away from the mountains, where you can see the most beautiful people from São Paulo city walking around wearing elegant boots and heavy coats having a cup of hot chocolate listening to great music during Campos Winter Festival, in July.
Entertainment and art are typical of São Paulo. The city with 10.4 million inhabitants has five theme parks and numerous leisure areas. It has 272 movie theaters, 102 theaters, 11 cultural centers and 70 museums, inspiring all those who walk around the city.
There are also seven large stadiums and the Interlagos Racetrack, host to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the only circuit venue in the whole Latin America.
São Paulo is the city of the “pastel de feira” (a typical fried pastry sold in open-air-markets), which our students can taste every Wednesday for the coffee break or even lunch as there's a feira (open-air-market) one block from the school.
Now you just have to come and see all this yourself and join Brazilians' joyful way of life.
